Douglas will be joining author pals Caro Ramsay and Michael J Malone in Newton Mearns in October as part of their Murder, Mystery and Murmurs tour (other dates to be announced).

Caro will be talking about her brilliant new series, which begins with The Devil Stone, and Michael will discuss his atmospheric, spooky new book The Murmurs. Douglas will bang on about Children of the Mist, and probably Jonas Flynt!

The event is free but booking is essential. Call the shop on 0141 616 3933.

The actual event will be held in the Prima Vera Bistro in the The Avenue Centre, Newton Mearns.

That Caro Ramsay’s got a new book heading into the hands of eager fans.

I’m chatting to Caro Ramsay for the launch of her new book on November 30

It’s called THE SUFFERING OF STRANGERS and it’s bound to be another belter.

And she’ll be launching it during Book Week Scotland in the Prima Vera Bistro, courtesy of Waterstones Newton Mearns.

Apparently, she’ll be in conversation with yours truly.

We’ll talk about the book, the inspiration, the symbolism with which her work is replete and the existential angst of writing about crime.

If you’ve ever been to an event with Caro, you’ll know that to be a complete lie.

The book is serious but the event will be fun.

I wouldn’t miss it.

Actually, I’d better not – Caro knows how to kill without leaving a trace.

Crime Writers unite!

For those who missed the theatrical experience of a lifetime in Waterstones Argyle Street on Friday April 8, I’ll be back in the company of Caro Ramsay and Theresa Talbot for a special panel of crime chat later this month.

There’ll be no histrionics this time – although you never know with Theresa (she’s BBC, after all). However, a stern look from Caro will keep her in check. A stern look from Caro keeps us all in check. She can kill you with her pinkie.

Anyway, we’ll be in the Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns for an event organised by Waterstones at Primavera’s on Wednesday April 27.

If you didn’t manage to buy a copy of OPEN WOUNDS at the sell-out play/launch (did I mention we sold out? No? We sold out!) then you’ll get one, or more, here. And I’ll sign it at no extra charge.

Caro will be launching her new book RAT RUN, which promises to be an absolute belter, while Theresa will have brand new, hot off the presses copies of her terrific crime book PENANCE.

Caro and Theresa are great at this sort of thing and you won’t be disappointed by their chat. I’ll try my best to keep up.
