In February, Douglas will be on-line, courtesy of the Glencoe Folk Museum, to talk about the real story that inspired the third Rebecca Connolly thriller, A RATTLE OF BONES.
The story of James Stewart, known as James of the Glens, is a tale of tragedy, of justice miscarried and political machinations.
It formed the spine to Douglas’s modern day crime thriller in which another James Stewart is accused, and convicted, of a murder he insists he didn’t commit.

Those taking part will hear from about this book, his experience and how to use history to inspire writing.
There will also be a short creative writing prompt and there will be time for audience questions at the end.
The organisers have not priced the tickets to allow as many book lovers to join as possible but as a charity, they suggest a donation of £5, which can be donated when reserving a ticket.
