I’ve got some chairing gigs at Aye Write once again this year. I enjoy chairing these events because more often than not they give me the chance to read great books that I might not ordinarily be able to read.

It’s another mixed bag this year, beginning with a fascinating pictorial look at ship models.

The next one will see me talking to others of novels that explore the grey areas between fact and fiction.

Denzil and me at Aye Write 2020

The programme for the superb Glasgow literary festival Aye Write has been announced – and I’m in it!

Yay!

I’m paired with someone called Denzil Meyrick, who must be a newcomer because I’ve heard very little about him and he’s not very active on social media at all.

Apparently, his books are good though.

And we’re being interviewed by another brash newcomer called Theresa Talbot, who is apparently also good.

I think they’re just giving these fresh starts a hand up by pairing them with a more seasoned hand.

I really should be more careful when shaking that pepper pot.

Seriously, I’m looking forward to the event.

Denzil is a huge draw and Theresa is brilliant interviewer and author.

Also, we’re pals (they’ll deny it, but I have emails) so it will be a laugh.
