What lies ahead from me in 2025
I can’t believe we’re almost half way through 2025 already.
I mean, where has the time gone?
Things have been busy, what with one thing or another. I completed the fifth Jonas Flynt, SHIP OF THIEVES, for the beginning of the year and have emerged from the subsequent edits unscathed.
I wrote a one-man play based on my non-fiction book INDIAN PETER. It will probably never be produced, but I’ve had it in my mind to do it for many years and, with a hiatus in my busy writing schedule, I put it together.
I’m now battering out the sixth Jonas Flynt, due for publication in 2026.
So, what will be hitting the shelves this year?
First up is the paperback edition of the fourth Jonas novel, A THIEF’S BLOOD (Canelo, June 5).

I’ve attempted to make each of the Jonas novels different. The first, AN HONOURABLE THIEF, was an espionage/adventure/crime story, the second A THIEF’S JUSTICE was a murder mystery, the third A GRAVE FOR A THIEF was, effectively, a western with criminal tendencies and this latest instalment is my serial killer thriller.
Read on to find out what the fifth one is.
One month later sees the release of the seventh Rebecca Connolly thriller, THE OTHER SIDE OF FEAR (Polygon, July 3) in paperback and ebook.

For this final instalment in the series, Rebecca returns to the island of Stoirm, where her journey really began. Naturally, she’s on a story, but the question is – will she return?
Then, in August, comes SHIP OF THIEVES (Canelo, August 21 in hardback and ebook – cover to follow)
And the genre this time around? Well, there’s crime, of course. There’s adventure, of course.
And there are pirates…
All are now available for pre-order in your favourite bookshop or on-line.
So, once I’ve finished the sixth Jonas Flynt, what then?
Well, let’s wait and see….
