Entering Edinburgh’s Dark Heart

A few years ago I wrote a non-fiction book called DARK HEART, which told the story of the Edinburgh Tolbooth- the old town jail.
When I began it, I was surprised that no one had written it before. It was, after all, a very important building in the history not just of Edinburgh, but Scotland.
And it will be on that very subject that I’ll be speaking on Friday night, in the wonderfully named Banshee Labyrinth.
It’s all part of the EdHorrorFest and I see it’s certificate 18, so that means there may be mild curse words, violence and some nudity.
Okay, maybe not the nudity. It may be a horror festival but that would be a fright too far.
When I spoke previously on the subject I focused more on the history.
This time though, it’s blood and grot all the way.
